The Battle of the Pyramids - Unisex Heavy Cotton Tee
on July 21 1798 Near Imbaba, across the Nile River from Cairo, Mamluk tribes banded together to stop the advance of Napoleon Bonaparte on his way to conquer Egypt. What was supposed to be a decisive victory against the French general turned instead into a militairy disaster, with almost all the army of the Ottoman empire wiped out. Desaix, one of Napoleon's right hand men, played a crucial role in the victory on these plains. This shirt honors these generals and their victory today so long ago.
